The Peaceful Warrior--Israel Palestinian Worldwork 2009

Times and Locations
March 26-30, 2009
Beit Jallah

Many of us feel that we can’t do much to change the world, that it is up to our leaders, and the most we can do is elect good leaders. However, each of us has within us incredible abilities and powers to facilitate world change, individually, and together. If we are in touch with our deepest powers and gifts, we can use these for healing, creativity, and peacemaking as well as war and destructiveness. In this seminar, we will utilize Process Oriented Psychology techniques to explore our powers to facilitate change. We will discover our own unique gifts we bring to this work, and practice as either identified facilitators, participants, or participant facilitators. In groups we participate in, we have been taught to give our powers away to the identified leader. In this seminar, we will explore how we can at any moment, anywhere, pick up our role as participant facilitator, and move towards the position that we are, each and every one of us acting alone and especially together, capable of changing the world. We will explore our inner direction and outer world changer using the arts as a path of conflict facilitation. The seminar will consist of Israelis; Palestinians, Process work students from around the world, and interested others from many different countries, coming to support and be part of the process. Each day will consist of training and theory time, facilitated large groups, art and conflict work sessions, and facilitated small groups. Advanced students of Process Work will also be giving daily tutorials on basic Process Work and Worldwork theory and practice.

This seminar will focus on:
Art, creativity, and conflict resolution
Religion, Spirituality, War and Peacemaking
The basics of Worldwork methods of conflict facilitation
Earth based, indigenous, shamanistic methods of Facilitation
Tools to break cycles of revenge
Working with trauma in ourselves, our loved ones, our clients, our community
The power of the participant facilitator
The conscious use of rank and power
Creation of conflict facilitation teams
